Guard Secretary Lloyd Austin was moved to the medical clinic on Sunday to be seen for "side effects recommending a rising bladder issue," the Pentagon said in a proclamation.

On Sunday evening, he moved obligations of his office to Delegate Secretary of Protection Kathleen Hicks.

"The Director of the Joint Heads of Staff, the White House, and Congress have been informed," Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in an explanation.
